More than 10% of the world’s population go to bed hungry each night. On Sunday, October 13, our church is joining thousands of Southern Baptists in recognizing Global Hunger Sunday. Together, we can give hope to the hungry.
Our monetary gifts to Global Hunger Relief will fund long-term, gospel-centered solutions to hunger like agricultural education, clean water projects, job skills training and more. Each project relieves hunger by promoting locals to work, produce and sustain themselves.
We invite you to bring a monetary offering for state, national, and world hunger relief through the Southern Baptist Convention and/or nonperishable food items for the North Strand Helping Hands Ministry. Please place your nonperishable items in the wicker mission chests located on the Fellowship Hall hearth or in the Family Life Center lobby. Baskets will be at the main worship service entrances on October 13 for monetary gifts.
Please Note: Our church maintains an ongoing collection of food for the local Helping Hands Ministry. You are encouraged to bring donations throughout the year and place them in the wicker mission chests.
