Comfort Quilters

The quilting group begun in 2008 by Ann Fahrenkrog, but she moved away. The group is now led by co-chairpersons Imogene Blackmon and Debbie Faris, with Barbara Bogert as design instructor. The quilters meet Mondays from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the Adult Workers or Friends in Christ Sunday School classrooms.

In the last two years, the quilters have provided about 150 comfort quilts as a tangible sign of God's love from First Baptist Church. If you have family or friends in crisis, illness or need, in nursing homes, please call the church office at 249-2448 and they will notify the quilters. At present the Comfort Quilters are: Imogene Blackmon, Barbara Bogert, Esther Dininny, Debbie Faris, Elaine Hyder, Pat Jones, Dee Jordan, Cindy Hyatt, Lynn Riggs and Jane Sprague. You do not have to be a member of First Baptist to join. We also welcome the snow birds when they are down.
