And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.— John 14:13 (NIV)
There is an opportunity for a short term International or North American missions right here in North Myrtle Beach. It’s for visitors or locals, churched or unchurched – it’s interaction with lifeguards. YOU can be a missionary, on our beach, by walking up to a lifeguard with a cold drink of water and a snack. Tell the person that YOU are a Christian and are bringing them a cold drink and snack because Jesus said, “…when you do it in my name….it’s the same as if you did it for ME…” If you’re not brave enough to say words about Jesus, just take a drink and snack! (They love your extra motel goodies, too.) Take the time to THANK them for looking after you and your loved ones.
2018 North Strand Lifeguard, Beach Patrol, and Beach Services Supper Summary
The 2018 Lifeguard, Beach Patrol, and Beach Services Suppers hosted eleven Tuesday nights of love, appreciation, God’s Word, and great food over the summer! Many from the community and FBCNMB Sunday School classes provided and served food as part of this wonderful ministry to those working in North Myrtle Beach on the beach for the summer.
A special thank you to:
FBCNMB Sunday School Classes: Faith, Hope & Love, Friends in Christ, Kindred Spirits, and In Focus.
North Strand Community, Buck Creek Baptist, Faith Baptist-Aynor, Jamestown Baptist, Wampee Baptist, and The NMB Optimist Club
Those that donated food: Logan’s Roadhouse, McDonald’s coupons, Outback, Grill House, Sticky Fingers and The Shack
We encouraged our lifeguards who participated in the East Coast Lifeguard Competition in Nags Head, NC by sending snack bags with them. Each bag included a note cheering them on and reminding them that OUR LIFEGUARD WALKS ON WATER!
We served and shared many meals with kids that were from the United States, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic.
Thank you to all who helped in any way….money, prayers, helping serve or clean up, providing goodies and prizes, taking water or snacks to the beach for guards and beach service – you are a missionary! We appreciate our faithful helpers: Beady Moore, Steve Whitlatch, Linda Whitlatch, Ruthie Robinette, Michael Moss, Greg and Teri Hyler.
We were truly blessed to be able to “Feed His Sheep” and love on those that were in our community over the summer!
