Three and Four Year Old Choir

The Cubbie Choir meets as part of the Awana program here at First Baptist Church. Awana meet on Sundays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The preschool choir is under the capable direction of Mylissa Bellamy and mainly uses the Play and Praise program. It is a time of singing, stretching, and socializing. It is a time to learn about God and to learn to sing His praises. We encourage parents to bring their children to participate in Awana and this children's choir.

Kindergarten through Sixth Grade

This choir also meets as part of the Awana program. These older children learn worship songs, interpretive movements, and stories about God. They watch Christian videos and also learn some music basics. Perhaps the highlight of the year is the Christmas musical these children put on every year, complete with drama and props. This choir also sings in church on various Sunday mornings. First Baptist Church loves hearing and seeing the children, and we wish to have every child in the church, and your neighbor's children as well, be a part of our Awana program and this choir. Kathleen Gambrell and Mylissa Bellamy are the "music coaches"!
